Who we are - and why

For us, true care for skin and hair comes from nature. The most effective and at the same time most sustainable solutions can be found here, because our skin and our bodies are also part of nature. Reason enough, then, to decipher them using the most modern scientific methods and make them usable for us. We will not rest until it is possible for everyone to take care of themselves with the forces of nature and to have the good feeling of doing something good for themselves and the environment. Our founder

It's the 1970s. And instead of being (un) satisfied with conventional cosmetics, Thomas Haase prefers to work intensively with natural active ingredients and studies literature on the subject of ointments and cosmetics. He quickly finds an alternative for his skin needs, based purely on natural ingredients. With his vision of developing natural cosmetics for everyone, always generating the latest innovations, our founder has been the natural cosmetics pioneer for over 40 years.

His first product is created in a tiny series, but with the highest demands on organic ingredients and their effectiveness: a lip balm. It is the cornerstone of the lavera brand, which more and more people, also abroad, are enthusiastic about and can still be found in our range today.

Since our foundation in 1987, we have been manufacturing almost all of our products ourselves here in the Hanover region. And nothing will change that. Because this enables us to guarantee the highest quality of our natural cosmetics, to make an effective contribution to the conservation of natural resources and to maintain respect for people and nature in everything we do.

The secret of real effectiveness

Excellent natural cosmetics products can only be created when scientific know-how, well-founded craftsmanship and experience gained over many years come together.

Only then, through the correct selection of natural substances, the skilful formulation and the special synergies of individual active ingredients, a composition succeeds that does far more than the sum of its components. In addition, we follow strict procedures and processes in accordance with ISO standards, in which we subject each of our products to a veritable quality marathon, from development through production to filling and packaging. This is how we create unique natural cosmetics that are not only highly effective, but also compatible.

We have certainly said it before: We are convinced that natural cosmetics are better cosmetics. If only because in our more than 30 years of pioneering work we have harnessed many of the most effective forces of nature for our skin and hair.

But there is another reason why natural cosmetics are the better choice: To avoid certain ingredients such as purely synthetic fragrances and preservatives (in accordance with the EU Cosmetics Regulation). The best thing is, we trust together in the healing powers of nature. After all, we are a part of it ourselves.

Everything for nature

It is our highest goal to protect nature - our living space and the source for all of our actions - sustainably and holistically. Even when extracting our raw materials, we pay attention to the highest (organic) quality and the most local origin possible. We are doing everything we can to reduce our energy consumption and are already getting 100% green electricity. At the same time, we are introducing sustainable packaging and have been actively involved in animal welfare for years.
